SMI worked with the IRJ to design and facilitate a dialogue among police, community residents, and activists on the topic of how communities can work together to end racial profiling in traffic stops.

SMI also helped the IRJ to develop its current strategic plan.

The City of Lawrence, MA

An SMI team worked with the Mayor's office to develop a multi-agency partnership to respond to rising rates of youth violence. The CitySafe Initiative brought residents, community organizations, faith-based organizations and government agencies together to design and implement a successful strategy to prevent crime and create opportunities for positive youth development.
